Carla is a studio potter living and working in Sheffield, UK. She designs and makes functional pottery for the table and home, drawing inspiration from her travels through Europe and Asia. Each piece is thoughtfully thrown on the potter’s wheel, with careful attention to proportion, balance and tactility — from the rim of a cup meeting the lip to the curve of a bowl held in the hand

She graduated in 2010 from the University of Sunderland with a BA (Hons) in Glass and Ceramics, where she developed a deep understanding of material and surface, and an appreciation for the transformative role of ceramics in everyday life

Her pieces are finished with glazes developed in her studio, creating a soft, nuanced colour palette that enhances and responds to the simplicity and timelessness of each form
